Cursillo: Cursillos
in Christianity is a movement that, through a method of its own,
tries to and, through God’s grace, manages to enable the essential
realities of the Christian to come to life in the uniqueness, originality,
and creativity of each person. In becoming aware of their potential
and while accepting their limitations, they exercise their freedom
by their conviction, strengthen their will with their decision,
to propritiate friendship in virtue of their constancy in both their
personal and community life.
The Cursillo Movement consists of proclaiming the best news of the
best reality: that God, in Christ, loves us. Communicated by the
best means, which is friendship toward the best of each one, which
is his being person and his capacity of Conviction, Decision, and
Constancy.

CHILDREN’S FAITH
FORMATION
Elementary
Faith Formation: St. Peter the
Apostle Elementary Faith Formation Ministry is aimed at assisting
parents in instructing their kindergarten through sixth grade children
on how to live their Catholic faith. We believe it is in the partnership
between the family and the parish that faith is most effectively passed
on to our children.
We offer three (3) choices in this ministry:
1) 1st Sunday monthly whole Family Faith Formation (10:30am-12:30pm)
2) Sunday weekly Elementary Faith Formation (8:55am-10:10am)
3) Wednesday weekly Elementary Faith Formation (4:15pm-5:30pm)
We are always looking for catechists who have a love of children and
a desire to assist them in their Catholic faith journey.
Preschool Faith Formation:
Catechesis
of the Good Shepherd: St. Peter
the Apostle Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Ministry serves 3 to
5 year old children in a specially prepared environment called an
“atrium” with materials that are based on the Montessori
method of discovery. . Two basic principles offer the foundation
for this program - a strong theological focus with an emphasis on
God’s Word and our Mass, and a deep and awe-inspiring respect
for the child. To be eligible, children need to be at least three
years old and not older than five at the time of registration and
must be completely potty trained. Sessions are weekly:
Tuesday 4:00pm-5:30pm
Wednesday 4:00pm-5:30pm
Friday 9:30am-11:00am
Sunday 8:45am-10:15am
