Kindergarten-Sixth Grade
Children’s Faith Formation (sometimes
called Religious Education, “Sunday School” or
“CCD”) is designed to support children in their
desire to learn and live their Catholic faith. We believe
that it is in the partnership between the parish and the family
that faith is most effectively passed on to our children.
For 2010-2011 we have various options for your busy schedules.
Monthly Family Faith
Formation Option
The whole family is invited to register
and share their faith together. A monthly opportunity for
all parish families to gather and focus on events of Church
life such as: our Catholic Faith, our Catholic history,
the faith of the Church, and how we profess our faith as
we study the topic of THE MORAL LIFE this year. Monthly
Faith Formation is held the 1st Sunday (10:30 am-12:00 pm)
of each month instead of weekly faith formation.
The Family Faith Formation includes a snack, music, crafts,
learning centers and fun for everyone in the family. Our first session will be held September 12, 2010.
Preschool, Elementary,
Middle School, High School, Parents, and Grandparents are
invited to attend.
Childcare will be provided for the littlest members of our
parish in the Nursery in the Family Life Center.

First Reconciliation
(Confession) and First Eucharist (Communion) Overview
Children in second (2nd) grade or older
and enrolled in Faih Formation prepare with their parents
for First Reconciliation in the
Fall and then First Eucharist in
the Spring. Parents along with the children being prepared
will attend a meeting where they are trained and receive
materials to prepare their child. Children and their parents
attend a retreat and receive the sacraments at the end of
each preparation period.
