New Family Life Center

"Now is the Time, This is the Place"

"We are an active, welcoming, spirit-filled community nourished by the Liturgy to serve God and others."

We are truly blessed at St. Peter the Apostle Parish with a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. I am continually reminded of the need to be welcoming for all. Because of our wonderful growth, we as a parish, have embarked on an amazing building endeavor. The parish has formed a building committee that has evaluated the needs of the parish and decided on SA Partnership to complete the schematic design phase of our new family life center. Months of preparation and work have yielded us our current building design. I hope and pray your excitement for this building project will continue.

Of course part of constructing a building is raising funds. Our parish is blessed with parishioners who give their time, talent, and treasure on a regular basis. St. Peter the Apostle Church has also hired RSI to help with the stewardship drive for the new family life center. RSI helped us with our church construction fund and has committed to helping us again. To make this building fundraising possible we have collected a wonderful team of parishioners. I hope and pray you will contemplate what your part of the the new family life center will be.

Family Life Center
Construction Update

If you had cause to go by the church during the week, you probably noticed the constant hum of construction machinery. We are on schedule and the site work and retention pond excavating is basically done. Pier work and utility trenching is scheduled to be done next.
Welcome news is that electrical, gas, and water services have been restored to the Activity Center, thus allowing the multitude of church activities to continue. A new stairway has been built to the door opposite the regular entrance on the Hosack St side of the Activity Center.
Once trenching begins (about three weeks from now) for installation of the new water main, there will be some disruption of existing parking areas. Our contractor has promised to do his best to minimize such interruptions.
Finally, our sincere thanks once again to those of you who have chosen to park further away from the church, thus allowing closer parking access to those who need such accommodation.

May 22, 2007 -

  • It's a given, but please use personal caution in the vicinity of the construction site. Pay particular attention to child safety.
  • Traffic on Kronkosky and Mueller is closed to the general public however, the streets are open to local traffic, do not hesitate to turn on to these streets for chuch business.
  • Parking seemed to go smoothly on Sunday. Thanks to those who parked on the periphery.
