MINISTRIES

PRIORITY 1: PRAYERFULNESS

We conform our lives to Christ through faithful meditation on God's will and loving presence as we fulfill the responsibilities of discipleship.

ACTS and Spanish ACTS Retreats

Promote the concepts of Adoration, Community, Theology and Service by hosting regular retreats for men and women. Retreats occur in both Spanish and English.

Adoration Ministry

Members dedicate themselves to praying an hour before the Blessed Sacrament each week. Contact: Cindy Exton at hmexton@aol.com.

Altar Care Society

The Alter Care Ministry serves the entire parish by preparing the altar for the celebration of the Eucharist and by caring for the altar linens. They also work with the Liturgy Committee to prepare for the liturgical seasons. Those who are experienced in preparing the alter find it very gratifying. Although the work of this ministry is not readily visible, it is a very spiritual task that enhances the worship of the entire parish family. Contact: Marti de la Garza at MartiRichard@gvtc.com.

Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the presider at weekend Masses, funerals and special celebrations. Boys and girls over the age of 10 who have received First Communion are eligible to volunteer to do this very important job. We need all eligible youth who feel a calling to serve. It takes very little training and the spiritual rewards are great! Contact: Rick Martini at Rick@StPetersBoerne.com.

Bereavement Committee

The Bereavement Committee provides meals after a funeral to families who have lost loved one. Contact: Terise Bransford at Terise@StPetersBoerne.com or Mary Cook at Mary@StPetersBoerne.com.

Six Dates for Catholic Couples

Building and strengthening marriages begins with husbands and wives making time to be with each other and having fun together. In a world full of competing demands for our attention: children, work, friends, etc., time for each other is a rare commodity for most married couples.  Yet, without this opportunity for staying connected spouses drift apart and marriages suffer. The Six Dates program invites couples to participate in six romantic dates at which couples watch six videos designed to inspire couples to become aware of the gift that they are to each other.
