Where will the new school be built?

The school will be built on the property adjacent to the Church parking area along Hosack Street where Clarence Kahlig purchased 8.1 acres and donated it to the Church.

What grades will be offered at the school?

We will open with Pre-K 3 through 6th grade (dependent on enrollment) in August 2025 and expand through 8th grade in the subsequent years. 

What is the attendance capacity?

400 to 600 students. The max capacity in Fall of 2025 will be 330 due to opening in the Family Life Center.

When do you plan on opening?

The school will open for the 2025-2026 school year. Our first day of school will be August 13, 2025!

What will the vaccination policy be?

Per the Texas Council of Catholic Bishops (TCCB), vaccinations are required for students at every Catholic school in the state of Texas. The list of required vaccinations may be viewed BY CLICKING HERE. A student may be enrolled provisionally if (s)he has received at least one dose of each specified age-appropriate vaccine required and continues to receive additional doses on schedule.

What are construction costs?

Total construction cost is $24 million; total project cost is $28.5million.

What is anticipated annual tuition?

The tuition amount is not yet set, but it will likely be around $10,000 per child, per year. 
St. Peter School is raising tuition assistance funds as part of our capital campaign. Families will be able to apply for assistance once enrolled. Enrollment will begin in January 2025.

Will there be any financial aid for families that need it?

Tuition assistance will be offered in the following ways:
 1.  The archdiocese has Hopeforfuture.org - you may apply for assistance at
 https://online.factsmgt.com/aid
 2.  St. Peter School will have tuition funds available and you will be able
 to apply once you enroll.  Enrollment will begin early 2025.

Will there be sports programs available?

In the first year, students will be able to join CYO. The next year we will start off with a few sports that can be accommodated with the current gym and coordinated efforts with other campuses where needed.

What will the academic program entail?

We are committed to providing an authentically Catholic, classical, education; curricular resources will align with that mission.

We don’t have children, or our children have grown up, so why should we contribute to the capital campaign?

Your contributions will build our community in Boerne and surrounding areas and bring new life and freedom for young children to learn, pray, and build a relationship with Christ.

Catholic elementary through college educational institutions strengthen Christian families, and help children tap and promote their full potential as gifts from God.

Let’s build something bigger than ourselves and in collaboration with other members of the larger community and leave this school as a legacy for generations to come.

Studies and research data show that children who graduate from Catholic schools are more likely to become excellent Christian citizens, top-notch members of the U.S. work force, leaders at every level in our society and universal Church, and faith-filled parents forming future families to renew the world.

How will the school be supported financially over the long term?

The school governance will be organized to ensure administrative and financial oversight and control.

From the establishment of the school going forward, the school will set up a fully functional Development Office, a $1 million Scholarship Fund, and a $1 million Maintenance Fund.

Leadership is open to financial expertise in the parish community to ensure that the school is a good steward of all its resources.

Pray for the committees, the community of St. Peter's, and the success of the campaign to attain its financial and spiritual goals.

Contribute any dollar amount to the campaign. You may make your donation in monthly, quarterly, or annual payments over 3 years or in one lump sum payment.
